Screening and Exhibition in Hamburg

Our FORGIVENESS screening and exhibition on September 20th at the Mall Studio was a huge success, and we couldn’t be happier!
What an unforgettable evening! We enjoyed amazing beats from DJ Zamba, the film screening, popcorn, and an atmosphere filled with friends and good vibes. Seeing FORGIVENESS resonate so deeply with everyone was truly special. The photo exhibition beautifully highlighted the film's theme in a captivating way.
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so memorable. Your support means everything to us!
In the meantime, FORGIVENESS has also been selected as a Semi-Finalist at the Australia Independent Film Festival in the Short Film International category.

The Festival Journey of Forgiveness continues

Happy to share the news that our film FORGIVENESS by Felix Julian Koch is being recognized by Festivals worldwide. It has been shortlisted at the Berlin Commercial Festival as well as nomineed and screened at the Conero Film + ADV in Italy. Huge congratulations to everyone involved!

Thrilled to unveil the trailer for our film, „FORGIVENESS,“ a passion project brought to life by an amazing crew both in front of and behind the camera earlier this year. Currently being reviewed at festivals worldwide, we’re proud to announce that „FORGIVENESS“ has already received nominations in three categories at the Young Director Award (YDA) in Cannes!

We are thrilled to announce that the Forgiveness Filmposter has come to life, thanks to the creative Michael Mandrup.

SHORT FILM - FORGIVENESS

Since last year, we have been working on a short film project with our Director, Felix Julian Koch. It is currently being reviewed at festivals worldwide, and the teaser will be launched soon. The film, based on a story from the Cape Flats, was shot on 35 mm and 16 mm film in Cape Town earlier this year. With the help of our fabulous local partners, we were able to find authentic locations and experience another side of Cape Town, shining the light on the Bishop Lavis community. A huge thank you goes out to the Bishop Lavis Community, Panavision, Kodak, Cinegrell and many more.

FORGIVENESS NEWS - THREE TIMES SHORTLIST

We are super happy to announce the wonderful achievement of being shortlisted in three categories at the YDA 2024 in Cannes for our short film „FORGIVENESS“ by Felix Julian Koch.

The recognition in „Changing the World Frame by Frame,“ „Passion Project,“ and „Short Film up to 10 Minutes“ categories is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, the effort and passion put into the project, the challenging filming process in the Cape Flats, the community and the story it tells. We’re looking forward to shine the light on a more unseen side of cape town.

FORGIVENESS - THE STORY

FORGIVENESS follows the emotional journey of a South African man from a harsh background, marked by violence and imprisonment. It symbolizes the disconnection in modern society, highlighting the critical importance of forgiveness for personal and emotional growth. Shot locally in the Cape Flats - a community often overshadowed by Cape Town’s vibrant beauty - this film sheds light on an area that remains largely unfamiliar to many, typically only seen from a passing vehicle on the highway. Yet, behind this veil of anonymity lies a harsh reality - a landscape marked by gang activity and hardships.
